Start with your next few weeks of sales

Count the customer months you are fairly sure to sell in the next four to six weeks. Include renewals that are coming up, because renewing a line uses credits in exactly the same way as creating one. Then pick the pack closest above that number.

Think in line lengths, not just credits

A pack can go faster than you expect. A 12 month line uses 12 credits at once, a 6 month line uses 6 and a 3 month line uses 3. If many of your customers choose long lines, plan for a bigger pack or a quicker reorder.

Keep cash free

Credits you have not sold yet are money waiting on a shelf. A pack that is too big for your sales ties up cash you could use for a website, marketing or simply a cushion for a slow month. A smaller pack you sell through quickly is often the smarter buy.

When bonus credits change the math

From 100 credits up, the IPTV credit packs include bonus credits. The 100 credit pack gives you 130 credits for €300, which works out at €2.31 a credit instead of €3. A 12 month line made from bonus credits costs you €27.72 instead of €36.

A reorder rhythm that works

Running out of credits halfway through a sale is the most avoidable problem in this business. A simple rhythm prevents it:

1. Set a minimum balance. Choose a number of credits that covers about a week of new lines and renewals.
2. Reorder when you reach it. Do not wait until the balance is empty.
3. Check before long sales. Before you promise a 12 month line, make sure your balance covers 12 credits.
4. Move up a size when you reorder often. If you are buying more than a couple of times a month, a bigger pack saves you time.

Write your minimum balance down and check it whenever you create a line. It takes seconds and saves awkward messages to customers.

Plan around busy weeks

Sales are rarely even across the year. Some weeks bring a wave of new customers and a cluster of renewals at the same time, often after a holiday or at the start of a month. Look back at your own sales and note when those waves came. Before a busy stretch, top up a little earlier than usual so a sudden run of 12 month lines does not empty your balance. After a quiet stretch, there is no need to rush: let your balance come down to your minimum before you reorder.
